The RDS Craft Bursary, 2019 and 2020

I’ve been part of the selection panels for the last two RDS Craft Bursaries, at the invitation of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland. The 2019 winner, announced in February 2019 is glass artist Edmond Byrne, to support him in an exciting collaboration with silversmith Adi Toch. Their new body of work will be shown for the first time at the Collect Open 2020 in London. Samples are on show as part of “Surface Matters” at NDCG, Kilkenny til 4 March 2020.

The 2020 winner, announced last week, is jeweller Seleina Coyle, for her new body of work 100 Women, which she will develop throughout 2020. Her first two pieces are also on show at NDCG alongside Edmond and Adi’s work.
