Following the success of Colour & Form, Design-Nation’s selling showcase of glass artists at NCCD in late 2018, I was delighted to work with colleagues to create a follow-up for autumn 2019. I chose the theme of Pattern & Sequence as an aesthetically pleasing way to approach beautifully designed and well made craftwork, suitable for a selling event.
Our spring call-out had a great response and we chose seventeen makers, whose works included ceramics, jewellery, metals, mosaic, objets d’art, textile for interiors, and two makers who collaborated on a an installation for the NCCD’s Project Space.
In an adjacent gallery we showed Design-Nation Picks, a showcase of emerging talent from our 2019 collaborative awards with New Designers One Year In and A Celebration of Craftsmanship.
